South Korean officials said seven people died and seven were missing in flooding following heavy rain in Seoul on Tuesday. Subway stations and many roads were flooded in the South Korean capital.

Dramatic footage shared on social media Monday night showed people wading through waist-deep water, overflowing subway stations and half-submerged cars in Seoul’s upscale Gangnam district.

According to local media, three people, including a teenage girl, who lived in “Banjiha” – a narrow basement apartment – drowned in their apartment.
