Jamie Foxx says he wants to go back to the days when he and his peers made art for fun and never discovered the world. Foxx reflected on the past while speaking with TMZ about Kanye West on Saturday in Beverly Hills.
After sharing his condolences to the late rapper Migos, Tykov, Fox made it clear that he wanted to have fun again.
“It’s just time for us to have fun,” he said. “Let’s get back to the fun. You ask me questions and everything like that. Do you know what I say to all my mates, man? Do you remember when we had fun? Remember when we recorded? We were in the back – we were in the studio – we had no money? Do you remember when We used to shoot movies and we weren’t waiting to do it for people? Let’s get back to that.”
As for how to get back to the fun times, Foxx says it’s up to everyone as a community.
“We’re always looking for the bad in people right now,” he explained. “Look for the good now and then.”
The comments from Jamie Foxx come as his longtime collaborator, Kanye West, has faced backlash for his behavior over the past month. West made many anti-Semitic comments, participated in a conspiracy theory about the death of George Floyd, and more. Many companies cut ties with the West due to the incidents.
Despite West’s controversial behavior, Foxx says he won’t speak ill of his friends in the industry.
