Suga’s latest single “People Pt. 2,” which features IU, topped this week’s new music poll.
Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (April 7) on the paintingChoosing the rapper BTS D-day album track as my favorite new music release in the past week.
“People Pt. 2″ achieved 96% of the vote, besting new music by Labrinth featuring Billie Eilish (“I Never Felt Lonely”), Drake (“Search and Rescue”), and Youngboy Never Broke Again featuring Nicki Minaj (“WTF ), NF (Hopes), and others.
“People Pt. 2” is the follow-up to Suga’s “People,” which originally appeared on his second mixtape, 2020. D-2. This isn’t the first time he’s collaborated with IU, who released her hit single “Eight” the same year with Suga on vocals and song production.
The new song also serves as the lead single from Suga’s debut solo album, D-daywhich is set to be released on April 21 under the name Agust D.
D-day It marks the final release of Suga’s mixed trilogy. The debut mixtape of the rapper and dancer, Agust d, arrived in 2016, highlighting his rapping and underground influences with the help of producing writers Slow Rabbit, June, Pdogg and Supreme Boi. continue with D-2which charted at No. 9 on the Top Rap Albums chart and No. 11 on the Billboard 200.
