The Buskers Festival returns for a second edition downtown with more than a hundred concerts.
In its second edition, BuskersÀMorges will feature a multicultural program showcasing musical traditions from around the world. From August 16 to 20, no less than 17 groups for a total of 50 artists will animate the pedestrian streets of Morges Center. A total of one hundred concerts are enough to turn the inscriptions into “magical spectacles” and “offer a mesmerizing sonic journey,” in the words of the organizing committee.
“Buskers Morges’ mission is to create an immersive experience that transcends musical cultural boundaries and pursues the latter. With no stage, no sound system or light projections, world music played by artists will rock the streets.
From Brazil to Mexico, through the fiery tunes of South Africa and Spanish flamenco, artists will perform in seven designated locations: Town Hall Square, the ends of the Grand-Rue, Central Street, Couvaloupe and the House of Associations.
Taraf Syriana team is the guest of honor for this second edition.

There will also be stories and dance and circus performances on the streets of Morges. Like other “busker” festivals (Editor’s note: Street musicians and artists), access to the shows is free, and the public is invited to contribute to the artists’ cap.
Apart from the music, the festival also has various food stalls that offer culinary specialties from around the world. Espace 81 also hosts an exclusive exhibition.
Opening night is next Wednesday at 7pm at La Crique.
