In 2014, the Maidan Revolution elevated Viktor Yanukovych to the post of Prime Minister after he was ousted on February 24. Arseniy Yatsenyuk headed the government for two years and one month, struggling to reform the country’s institutions during this critical period of transition to democracy. After turning opposition, he continued to advocate rapprochement with the European Union, liberalization of the economy and structural reforms.
