Leipzig 1-3 Manchester City |
Manchester City is back on track to win again. After being defeated in two matches, including every previous program.
Phil Foden gave the English guests the lead in the 25th minute, but shortly after the second half, Leipzig equalized through Luis Obinda.
The Blues took the lead and attacked strongly towards the end of the match. Before two reserves, Julian Alvarez and Jeremy Doku, came down to score a goal each. The attacking team won 3-1.
This match ends even though Manchester City leads Group G in the Champions League with a full 6 points from two matches.
Goalkeeper: Ederson – 5/10
He only had one shot on target. But that led to Leipzig’s equalizer, which had a lot to do with the attacking build-up.
Right-back: Kyle Walker – 7/10
He did an excellent job defensively and offensively. Use your speed to your advantage when dueling the home team’s offensive line, making Luis Obinda and Xavi Simons not want to go head-to-head too often.
Centre-back: Manuel Akanji – 6/10
He plays in the same role as John Stones, acting as a midfield assist when the home team attacks. It is considered to work well in an unfamiliar situation.
Centre-back: Ruben Dias – 6/10
There was nothing ugly wrong. But I didn’t do much testing to show my quality.
LB: Yusco Guardiol – 7/10
He gave an impressive performance against his old club. He seems to be adapting to Manchester City better and better
DM: Rhodri – 7/10
This shows that controlling the game in midfield is very important for Manchester City, even on days when Rodri is not at his best.
DM: Rico Lewis – 8/10
Incredible, this is the work of an 18-year-old who adds to the attacking game when given the opportunity. Don’t be so reckless that you appear negligent. Before providing an assist for Foden to fire in front
RM: Bernardo Silva – 7/10
In the days when Manchester City’s right winger was in trouble, Bernardo was always the team’s solution. The versatile star has performed well in the role he became known for during his spells at Benfica and Monaco.
AM: Phil Foden – 8/10
Also called as scorer. She tries to play more easily than in the past, which makes her look better than expected. He created many chances in the second half. He is considered to do a good job in the playmaker role which Pep has hinted in the past he always wanted Foden to play.
LM: Jack Grealish – 5/10
It was a disappointing game for the £100m winger, who had a tough duel with Mohamed Semakoun before being substituted to make way for Dojo, who was competing for his place in the closing stages.
Defender: Erling Haaland – 5/10
Lots of scoring chances, very likely to have a name on the scoreboard, it’s been that way two games in a row.
Nathan Ake (replaced Akanji, 71′) – 6/10 – Perform duties as assigned but the game is narrower than Akanji.
Jeremy Dugo (replaces Grealish, 71′) – 8/10 – The final decision is evolving. This led to an assist for Alvarez and a shot to close out the box himself.
Julian Alvarez (replaces Foden, 79′) – 8/10 – Come down and really change the game. They take turns playing with Dogu, who in this game shoots 1, and also pays 1.
Mateus Nunes (replaces Bernardo, 87′) – Not applicable – Little time for evaluation
