EXAT “Celebrate Rat-Bruphawithi” highway toll increases by another 5 baht under TFFIF conditions starting March 1.

On February 25, 2024, journalists reported that the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) is preparing to adjust toll prices for the Chalong Rat Expressway. The Bruphawithi Expressway is in accordance with the terms of the Thailand Future Infrastructure Fund (TFFIF) contract which will increase every 5 years, calculated according to the Consumer Index (CPI), which will increase by about 10% or about 5 baht, as of March 1, 2024.

Make the Chalong Rat Expressway toll The fares for four-wheel drive vehicles will be increased from 40 to 45 baht, vehicles with 6-10 baht from 60 baht to 65 baht, and vehicles with more than 10 baht from 80 baht to 90 baht, with the exception of Ramintra. 1 checkpoint and Sukhapipan checkpoint 5-2 which allows four-wheel drive vehicles to pass at the original price of 20 baht. There is no increase. Vehicles with 6-10 wheels are adjusted from 30 baht to 35 baht and vehicles with 6-10 wheels are adjusted from 30 baht to 35 baht. Meanwhile, the Burava Withhi Expressway for four-wheelers, if traveling no more than 20 km, will use the old toll rates. But if you are traveling more than 20 km, the toll rate will be adjusted to a minimum of 5 baht and a maximum of no more than 10 baht, calculated according to the distance.

For vehicles with wheels from 6 to 10, if traveling no more than 20 km, the toll will be increased by 5 baht, but if traveling more than 20 km, the toll rate will be adjusted to a minimum of 10 baht and a maximum of no more. 20 baht, calculated based on the distance. For vehicles with more than 10 wheels, if traveling no more than 20 kilometers, the fare will increase by 5 baht. However, this time the toll increase is an increase according to the Thailand Future Infrastructure Fund (TFFIF) contract which will increase every 5 years, but last year there was a delay in the toll increase according to the contract since September 1, 2023 to help reduce it. Thus the cost burden on highway users and the public has not increased toll fees for 6 years, while the Chalong Rat Highway has not increased toll fees for 15 years.
