Open evaluation results 'policy raised to 30 baht for treatment everywhere with an ID card' found people using the service after worrying about overcrowding at the hospital center 'New normal public health innovation service unit' 25 percent larger than hospital visits in 12 pilot provinces. Emphasize that this actually helps reduce overcrowding in hospitals.
Dr. Patipak Namahud, Director Monitoring, Monitoring and Evaluation Department Monitoring and Evaluation Task Force National Health Security Office (NHSO) 30 Baht scheme to be treated everywhere with one ID card reveals assessment: At present, the 30 Baht scheme is being conducted everywhere with one ID card. It is carried out in 2 phases, totaling 12 provinces: Phase 1 consists of 4 provinces, namely Phray, Roi Et, Phetchaburi and Narathiwat, Phase 2 consists of 8 provinces namely Phetchabun, Nakhon Sawan. Sing Buri, Phang Nga, Nong Bua Lambu, Amnat Saroyen, Nakhon Ratchasima and Cha Keo have 1.6 million people receiving health services, for a total of about 2.5 million services, of which almost 25% or 580,000 times received services from all. 7 types of new normal health innovation service units provided by private sector consist of clinic, pharmacy and dental clinic. Nursing and Midwifery Hospital Medical Technology Clinic (Laboratory Testing), Physical Therapy Clinic and Thai Traditional Medicine Hospital including telemedicine or telemedicine services.
“Everywhere people are aware of the plan to raise the dose by 30 baht for treatment. And understand getting services so that the system can progress well. Access to health services results in patients choosing to receive services from these service units instead of visiting hospitals. This is the picture that NHSO wants to see happen,” said the Director of Oversight, Monitoring and Evaluation.
Dr Pathipak said the results reflect initial success. It found that people were less likely to visit major hospitals or provincial hospitals. But there is an increase in some areas, but not much. And not a burden to the hospital Even offering services across networks or regions is still seen. This group of patients did not increase. It reflects the new normal public health service unit and is the first choice for gold patent patients in provinces where the plan to increase treatment levels by 30 baht is being implemented everywhere. Both Phase 1 and 2, the system now has a new Public Health Service Unit. There are a total of 1,326 seats and more seats are in the process of being added to additional service units gradually.
“The reason is that there are 7 types of private sector service units like medical clinics, drug stores, nursing clinics. Dental Clinic, Medical Technology Clinic, Physical Therapy Hospital, and Thai Traditional Medicine Hospital also participate in the programs, in part, as a result of reimbursement for service charges in effective programs. Including expeditious cash disbursement process within 3 days as notified,” said Director Monitoring and Evaluation.
Dr. Pathipak added that regarding the complaints received since the project was launched, only 5 cases were not receiving the service as per entitlement, 3 cases were not receiving the facility, and from these complaints 1 case was charged to a committee to jointly manage all the service units. To avoid duplication of cases including understanding the policy to resolve the issue. and allow the system to progress smoothly
