Although the iPhone 16 has not been released yet. But there are rumors and many arguments iPhone 17 Slim Will it be a high-end smartphone or a less capable model than the Pro model?
Starting with Ross Young, a well-known screen analyst, who said that the iPhone 17 Plus model will soon undergo a change and will have a smaller screen size than the Plus model. The following month, Jeff Pu updated that the Plus model will be replaced by a new model. Both Pro models, dubbed the iPhone 17 Slim, will still have the same processor and RAM as the standard model.
This means that the iPhone 17 Slim will come with a major redesign similar to the iPhone X and could cost more than the iPhone Pro Max, which is currently Apple's most expensive model. Codenamed D23, the Slim model is rumored to have lower specs than the Pro models and could come with just a single rear camera.
Overall, the iPhone 17 Slim might be an expensive new device right now. It has advanced technology but on the other hand, there might be a superior Pro version. This is an update to a meaningless rumor.
Looking back, it’s probably going to be like the 12-inch MacBook that was first released in 2015 with weird product placement. It costs more than the MacBook Air, but it has a worse CPU, a worse GPU, no MagSafe charging, only has one USB port and no Thunderbolt support.
However, the 12-inch MacBook is still the smallest and lightest MacBook in its class. It is aimed at the target group that wants to have a style that focuses on comfort, and is easy to carry. And easy to use, such as sending emails, browsing the web, and writing articles
It's not clear how successful the 12-inch MacBook will be as Apple intended. Given that the product was around for four years before being quietly discontinued in 2019, it suggests that this could be an opportunity to bring the iPhone 17 Slim with other upgrades than just thinner bezels.
Maybe the Dynamic Island will be smaller. Or maybe this is the model where the company can finally put the Face ID module under the display? And it's the first model that could have a full display.
