eye maker Odin Android mobile deviceis releasing a batch of what it calls the “least expensive” Windows portable gaming consoles to date (via narrow). The cheapest package starts at just $299 – $100 less than the 64GB Steam Deck.
Ain announced the news in Youtube video And the a series of posts On Instagram, to take a look at what we can expect from the looks, technical specifications and prices. While the entry-level $299 Loki Mini comes with 64GB of storage and an Intel Alder Lake U chip, the standard portable Loki has an AMD Ryzen 5 6600U chip with three different storage options: 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB, each costing $499 and $599. and $699, respectively. The $799 Loki Max features an upgraded AMD Ryzen 7 6800U chipset and 512GB of storage.

From the outside, it looks like Ayn Loki inherits most of his design from Switch-like Odin, but like narrow Notes, it switches a colored group of buttons in the X, A, B, Y configuration to a solid black or white outline in the same Y, B, A, X order that you find on your Xbox console. There is also a USB-C port and a headphone jack at the bottom of the device.
Judging by another one of Ain’s posts on InstagramLooks like Loki is slated to launch tomorrow at 9:00 PM EST, and it’s likely to be available for purchase. From his website. Taki Udon also notes that Odin owners can access Loki’s lineup at discounted rates, but it’s unclear how much Ayn will take off.
Ayn is just one brand trying to take on Steam Deck. Another company, Aya New, Making the first gaming laptop available on Indiegogo last year. Since then he’s gone out with Verse New 2 and Verse New SlideBoth feature an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U and Radeon 680M iGPU chip that can beat Steam Deck on paper. The Aya Neo hasn’t released pricing information for these two models yet, but it’s not likely that they will be as affordable as the Loki Mini or the Steam Deck for starters – most Aya Neo laptops cost upwards of $1,000. Maybe that’s the reason Aya Neo just released the Aya Neo Air lineupa range of lighter laptops starting at $549 for an AMD Ryzen 5 5000U processor and 128GB of storage.
