According to a study, women aged 35-69, people living in disadvantaged areas or those working in health care or education report more persistent symptoms.
About two million people in the UK have been affected by corona symptoms for more than four weeks, according to a study released by the National Statistics Office (ONS) on Wednesday. According to this analysis, 3,76,000 of these people continue to have symptoms after two years.
Persistent symptoms, especially fatigue, shortness of breath, cough and muscle aches, affected 1.4 million people (71%) in their daily activities and were “strongly defined” by 398,000 victims (20%). People aged 35-69, women, those living in disadvantaged areas, or those working in health or education are more likely to report a “long cov.”
One million infections per week
These figures were collected from a representative sample of persons over 2 years of age living in individual families and were based on reports surveyed in the four weeks ending May 1, not on a clinical diagnosis. As a reminder, the United Kingdom is one of the most affected countries in Europe by an epidemic with nearly 180,000 deaths. It has lifted all anti-Govt restrictions and, according to ONS estimates, continues to affect more than a million people a week.
