A 26-year-old man has stomach cancer. The doctor recognized his behavior and his doubts disappeared. Detecting habits that are repeated until they become a silent danger to yourself.
Last month, Mr. Tian (not his real name), 26 years old, from China, always felt pain in his upper stomach, dizziness and weakness in the limbs. He also noticed that his stool was always dark in color. He thought he was suffering from chronic gastritis. Each time he had a relapse, he took only a small amount of the medication.
This is despite doctors recommending a gastroscopy several times. But Mr. Thean was still satisfied with himself. With the thought “I am young, and I do not have a serious illness!”
Until two weeks ago, under many warnings from his mother. Mr. Tian reluctantly went to the hospital for a gastroscopy. The results of the research concluded that he has stomach cancer. Fortunately, there were only swollen lymph nodes around the wound and no obvious spread to any distance.
Doctors performed laparoscopic surgery to remove two-thirds of the stomach and surrounding lymph nodes. The recovery process went smoothly. But Mr Thean still has to undergo chemotherapy afterward.
After studying his medical history and learning from the doctor, Mr. Thean has a habit of ordering food out of the house 300 times a year, regularly going out to eat barbecue and drinking drinks, staying up late and eating at night.
When you calculate it all together that means this happens up to 400 times a year, which means he develops these bad habits every day. Even 2-3 times a day, these repetitive bad habits are the reason for his current illness.
