Two vehicles were submerged in the water after the bridge collapsed
On Monday morning, a log fell and a truck and a car fell into the river. The number of people involved is not yet known.
A wooden bridge collapsed in southern Norway on Monday morning, sending a truck and a car into the water, Norwegian police said.
“Reports indicate the Tretton Bridge has collapsed. A truck and a private car may have fallen into the water,” local police said on Twitter.
“It is not clear how many people may be involved and it is not clear if there is any human casualty,” police added. All local rescue personnel have been mobilized, he said.
Opened in 2012, the Tretten Bridge is a 148-meter-long and 10-meter-wide wooden structure that crosses the Gutbrandsthalslagen River on a secondary road. There is a two-way road and footpath for vehicles.
Development follows.
