“All Americans“Sparkle“Kung Fu”, “Nancy Drew”, “Riverdale“Superman & Lois” and “Walker” have been renewed in CW.
“As we prepare for the 2022-23 season, these scripts, along with An alternative series that we have previously renewedIt will be the start of a solid foundation using some of our most watched series so we can build on them for the next year and beyond,” said Mark Bidowitz, CW Network Chairman and CEO, Mark Bidowitz. “These dramas are also important to our overall digital strategy, as they are among the most socially streamed and interactive, and we look forward to adding more new and returning series to help strengthen and expand our multiple platforms.”
Looking at the renewals, that means: ‘All American’ will return for season 5, ‘The Flash’ will return for season 9, ‘Kung Fu’ will return for season 3, ‘Nancy Drew’ will return for season 4, ‘Riverdale’ will return for season 7, and ‘Superman’ will return & Lois” for the third season, and “Walker” will return for the third season.
According to an individual familiar with the situation, this list is not exhaustive and final decisions on the remainder of the CW slate written up front will be made in May.
The remaining scripts on the network are: “4400”, “All American: Homecoming” sub-series, “Batwoman”, “Charmed”, “Legends of Tomorrow”, “In the Dark”, “Legacies”, “Naomi,” and Roswell, New Mexico”.
The CW has only three pilots in contention this season as well, including DC’s “Gotham Knights” project as well as previous contests “Walker: Independence” and “The Winchesters,” which were set before the events of “Supernatural.” “
