Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 16, AirPods, and Watches on September 10

Apple is planning a major event on September 10, 2024 to unveil its latest iPhones, AirPods, and Apple Watch, Bloomberg reported. iPhone 16 sales are expected to help the company boost its revenue in the current quarter.

Although the official date has not been confirmed yet, the event is said to take place on Tuesday. The iPhone 16 or new iPhone model is also expected to go on sale on September 20, 2024, as usual from Apple.

The launch is important for Apple as the company has seen slowing sales in recent months, with some iPhone 16 sales being included in current quarter earnings. That will soon end, with Apple expecting the company to be able to increase sales by 5% compared to last year.

The majority of revenue from iPhone 16 sales will come in the next quarter, which coincides with the holiday season, and analysts expect revenue to increase 7% to $128.4 billion, or roughly 4.345 trillion baht, during the period.

What can we expect to see from this launch?

Bloomberg News expects that overall, the iPhone 16 launch will not be much different from its predecessor, with only the iPhone 16 Pro model having a larger screen. There are new camera features, such as a dedicated button for taking photos, and Apple has also introduced a new artificial intelligence tool, or Apple Intelligence.

As for the color options, expect regular changes, as the Pro model is not available in blue, but in the rose gold color that was popular a few years ago. I will be back again. It includes the new A18 chip and 8GB of memory, which is the minimum memory required to use Apple Intelligence features.

While the Apple Watch Series 10 will see bigger changes, like a thinner design and larger display, the AirPods will also receive new models at the lower and mid-range levels, with the mid-range AirPods getting noise-cancelling features for the first time. The lower-end models will receive updates for the first time since 2019.

Not only that, but Apple is preparing to launch new Macs using the M4 chip later this year, although Macs typically launch about a month after the iPhone. But the company has started testing four new Mac models to make sure they work well with apps from third-party developers.

The three Mac models are expected to have a total of 10 CPUs and 10-core graphics processing units (GPUs), while the lower-end 8-core model will have a full 8-core GPU. These will come with 16 or 32GB of memory.

Apple is gearing up for a major product launch. There will be feature updates to many of the company's core products as well.
