For Kirchner’s attorney, the attacker “didn’t act alone.”
One of Argentina’s Vice President Cristina Kirchner’s lawyers assessed on Sunday that the gunman who was the target of an assassination attempt on Thursday evening “did not act alone”.
“He did not act alone, because there were preparatory events for the assassination attempt. Undoubtedly, there were others who were aware of this situation,” assessed Gregorio Dalbon on C5N television, although he did not advance the elements that support this thesis. “In my opinion, because I understand that he did not act alone, and (the accused ) are going to be,” he asserted in a separate interview with the official Telam agency.
Cristina Kirchner’s attacker has been identified as 35-year-old Fernando Andre Sabac Montel, who is from Brazil but has lived in Argentina since childhood. The man, whose motives are unknown at this stage, has not made a statement since his arrest.
In photos on his Instagram account, he appears to have numerous tattoos, some of which (a black sun, a cross resembling an iron cross) are associated with Nazi symbolism.
complaint
On Thursday evening, Christina Kirchner held a handgun to her head as she attended with supporters outside her home. For some unknown reason, although the weapon was loaded and activated, no shots were fired, President Alberto Fernández assured shortly afterwards.
The lawyer also confirmed that a formal complaint will be filed on Monday in the name of Christina Kirchner, so that, as a civil party, she can access the file and follow the results, clues, experts or “do. Appeal of decisions that are adverse to it”.
Gregorio Dolphin also noted that a certain “Mario” was asking “to be asked to explain his statements”. After the attack, Mario announced on television that he had been a friend of the suspect since his youth, and that he “believed his intention was to kill him.” He also said the suspect had been missing for ten months while searching for the weapon.
