Former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t think the Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady He is enjoying football now.
Roethlisberger said after witnessing the Steelers’ surprise win over the Buccaneers on Sunday that he believed Brady was out of the game mentally.
“Tom is the greatest. It shows,” Roethlisberger said in Super Bowl episodes his podcast. “It didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. It was probably because of pressure and he got beaten up and whatever was going on.”
Roethlisberger said he can see from watching Brady that he’s not having a fun season.
“There’s no way he’s enjoying this,” Roethlisberger said. “I was enjoying being there watching the match. It didn’t look fun for him.”
There is other evidence that Brady has not been as committed this season as he has been in the past, including his decision to spend time with pirates for the wedding of Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
“He just went to his previous owner’s wedding two days ago,” said Roethlisberger. “He flew there, he missed a ride, and he went up there.”
Roethlisberger said the Brady who faced the Steelers on Sunday wasn’t the same player Roethlisberger had faced so many times in his NFL career: “It looked like a different Tom.”
