The mayor of Saint-Gervais filed a complaint against the two videographers

Jean-Marc Bayleux, the mayor of Saint-Gervais, whose summit and the entire normal route of Mont-Blanc are within the municipality’s borders, did not hesitate to file a complaint against the two climbers, he said on December 29.
In a video, the city’s mayor recalled that bivouac was only authorized “when one’s life is in danger, for example, during a storm, to protect oneself,” and added that Mont-Blanc is a “classified site so bivouac is prohibited.” There (only chance to sleep: Dead Roos Asylum). Failure to comply with the order is punishable by one year in prison and a fine of 150,000 euros. The mayor of Saint-Gervais invites the mayor and environmental associations to complain on behalf of the state.
