Ms. Thewaporn Phasok, Deputy Director-General of the Comptroller-General's Department The Spokesman of the Comptroller-General's Department revealed that under the 2022 State Welfare Registration Project, eligible persons can exercise their rights through smart card identification cards. In March 2024, you will get the following rights:

March 1, 2024

(This is the limit of rights that cannot be withdrawn in cash. They do not accumulate in the following month)

• Product purchase limit: 300 baht per person per month
  • For those eligible people who confirmed their identity between January 27 and February 26, 2024 and can begin exercising their rights on March 1, 2024, they will not receive their rights retroactively.
• Discount limit for cooking gas purchases is 80 baht per person per 3 months (January – March 2024)
• The travel allowance via public transportation is 750 baht per person per month.
  • Including bus station, BMTA, MRT (Blue/Purple Line), BTS (Green/Gold/Yellow/Pink Line), ARL (Airport Rail Link/Red Line), and participating private buses.

March 11-13, 2024

• Subsistence allowance for low-income seniors eligible for the State Welfare Registration Program, 2022, FY2024, at the rate of 100 baht per month (January-March 2024)

For eligible persons who complete identity verification (e-KYC) by February 26, 2024, they will receive the money transfer through two channels as follows.

1. A joint account with another person or another person's account under a letter of approval to transfer welfare funds to a joint account with other persons for those entitled to the state welfare registration project. (Only in case of persons with disabilities/bedridden patients and/or elderly people over 60 years of age who cannot open an account or connect to PromptPay) or Letter of approval to transfer welfare funds to another person's account for the person to obtain the right to draft registration State sponsorship (only in case of persons with disabilities/bedridden patients and/or senior citizens over 60 years of age who are unable to open an account or connect to PromptPay) or
2. In the event that there is no account under No. (1), the funds will be transferred to the PromptPay account linked to the national ID number of the eligible person. (You must be connected to PromptPay by March 6, 2024)

March 20, 2024

• Additional disability allowance of 200 baht per month
  • For people with disabilities Those who have a Disability Identity Card and receive a disability allowance of 800 baht per month upon identity verification from January 27 to February 26, 2024 will not receive retroactive rights. (Transfer funds to the bank account linked to PromptPay with the 13-digit identification number of the eligible person or the bank account of the eligible person or lawyer used to receive the disability allowance of 800 baht)

How to register for a discount on electricity bills Poor Card March 2024

• Electricity users in Bangkok, Samut Prakan and Nonthaburi register with the Metropolitan Electricity Authority.

• Electricity consumers in other governorates register with the Governorate Electricity Authority

Discount on water bills of 100 baht per household per month.

• Sign up for free tap water rights from 15 March 2023 onwards and must be a tap water user under the following conditions.
  • If tap water use exceeds 100 baht but does not exceed 315 baht, you will receive a subsidy of 100 baht, with the excess paid by yourself.
  • If water usage exceeds 315 baht, the government welfare card holder must pay the entire water bill themselves.
