Fresh Express has voluntarily recalled a limited quantity of three batches of assorted salads.

Branded and expired branded salad kits are already manufactured at Moro’s facility.
The recall was prompted after a sample collected by the Georgia Department of Agriculture tested positive for the Listeria pathogen.

The salads remembered are Fresh Express Caesar Chopped Kit, Chopped Kit Chipotle Cheddar, and Publix Makoto Honey Giner Salad Kit.
The salad mixes were distributed through retailers in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. All recalled salad items bore product code GO75 and use-by dates of March 31 or April 2, 2023.
Stores removed products from the shelves. Consumers are advised not to eat and discard the products.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the frail or elderly, and others with weakened immune systems. Individuals may experience short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
