Finally this evening, 8th April 2024, Mr. Nirat Phongsitthaworn Chiang Mai Provincial Governor Issue a provincial announcement to allow government agencies to work from home so as not to affect the delivery of public services. and use electronic conferencing channels as a channel to get work done
As for the private sector, we seek the cooperation of companies, shops and institutions. Consider allowing employees to work from home (work from home) or through electronic media. Solicit cooperation from service establishments in areas that do not affect the company's business. Service establishments and establishments like restaurants should consider providing air-conditioned rooms as a first priority. To reduce the impact of PM 2.5 dust.
It also seeks the cooperation of citizens and tourists. Reduce outdoor activities when the value of fine dust particles (PM 2.5) exceeds the standard value. And if it is necessary to go out of the house, ask citizens and tourists to wear a mask every time to protect against small dust particles (PM 25).
The provincial announcement asks for cooperation from vulnerable groups (young children, pregnant women, the elderly and those suffering from congenital diseases) to reduce or avoid activities outside the home. This evening the governor of Chiang Mai province also announced disaster-hit areas. After earlier declaring 6 as fire and forest fire disaster areas, the zone provides assistance to the victims of fire emergencies and forest fire disasters in 2 additional districts, Vieng Hang District and Mae Ai District, covering a total of 7 sub-districts.
