Thursday morning , Kansas City Chiefs Their seventeenth (and last) full boot camp 2022 training in their field of practice took place at Western Missouri State University in St. Joseph, Missouri.
JuJu Smith-Schuster’s wide receivers (knee) and Mecole Hardman (thigh), defensive tackle Chris Jones (rear), tight end Blake Bell (hip flexion) and Lucas Niang’s tackle (knee), all missed the last day of training camp. After missing training on Wednesday, runner Jerrick McKinnon (hamstring) and long-shooter James Winchester (personal) are back on the court.
With training camp behind them, the Chiefs will be off on Friday. On Saturday, the team’s second pre-season game will now be available. It will be against Washington’s leaders in Arrowhead Stadium. Kick-off is set to 3 PM (arrowhead timing). Practices (then at the team’s training facility at the Truman Sports Complex) will resume Monday.

On 10-10-10, the team has a lighter workout and spins through 10 offensive plays, 10 defensive plays, and 10 minutes of special teams. The attack of the first team is carried out by the defense of the second team and vice versa. Hence, there is only so much that you can take away from these looks.

One of the new veterans on the team It was a very strong day.
In that first period (without JuJu), RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, WR Skyy Moore, WR Noah Gray, WR Justin Watson, RB Isiah Pacheco and TE Travis Kelce all saw targets. WRs Corey Coleman and Daurice Fountain got on the mix in the second period.

Coach Andy Reed said Mahomes and the Beginners will get the “first half,” but it could be shorter than that, which I would expect. Reed’s pre-season trends tell me the first teams will have one series in the second quarter before exiting.

Mahomes said his first business when he returns to Kansas City is to get a haircut. He is very much looking forward to seeing his one year old daughter. Reed said he’s ready to sleep in his own bed and has a normal schedule. Ball is life for Big Red.
