China ignores NATO and joins Russia in Joint Sea 2024 military exercises.

This move by China and Russia has prompted Japan, which also attended the NATO meeting as a partner nation, to warn of a growing “threat” as ties between Beijing and Moscow strengthen, AFP reported.

But the Chinese Defense Ministry said the joint military exercise aims to demonstrate the resolve and capabilities of China and Russia to work together on threats to maritime security and maintain stability and peace in the region.

“This process will deepen the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership cooperation in the modern era,” the Chinese side said.

Over the years, China and Russia have strengthened their friendship. The two countries have declared their friendship “without borders.” In addition, both China and Russia still have hostile relations with NATO.
