Throughout the NBA Finals, Steph Curry has been more open than usual, engaging with Boston fans and making bold early celebrations.

Those sentiments took full control Thursday night as the Warriors snuffed out the Celtics in hindsight with a 103-90 victory for their fourth NBA title since 2015 and their first since 2018.

After coach Steve Kerr pulled off Golden State’s starts with a win — and title confirmation — Curry began crying on the baseline, cuddling his father Dale, who had a victory cigar at the ready. When the time was up, tears were already starting to flow, as Carrie sobbed through an ABC interview with Lisa Salters.

“At the start of the season, nobody thought we’d be here, except for everyone on this court,” Curry said. “It’s fantastical. So surreal. We were so far away from it… We hit rock bottom with injuries… Never take this for granted because you never know when you’ll be back here.”

After a brutal 5 game, Curry reappeared in Game 6, exploded for 34 points in 40 minutes, firing 12-for-21 off the field. He was honored with the first ever Finals player for his efforts, and we hope he put together one of the The most stressful novels in sports to rest.
