The news comes a week after rumors circulated that Justin Bieber would also be leaving the Browns management after 16 years together. Representatives for Bieber and Brown have since denied the reports.

She has since launched a campaign to re-record her albums to ensure that the new owners of her masters will not take advantage of her music, encouraging her fans to listen to Taylor’s hugely successful “Releases”.

In an interview with NPR’s Jay Williams last year, Brown said the controversy was a “lesson learned”.

“What I regret is that I assumed that, once the deal was done, everyone would talk to me, see my intentions, see my character and say, ‘Great, let’s work together.'” He said.

In November 2020, Swift said:[Braun] I will never offer any price to my team” and that she was asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement that would “silence [her] Forever.” The Brown team disputed that claim.

“I can’t bring myself to be arrogant enough to think that someone would be willing to have a conversation and be excited to work with me,” he told NPR. “I don’t know these people.”

He went on to say that he still believes he was “treated unfairly” in the aftermath of the purchase, but understands “from the other side” how Swift thought it was unfair as well.

“So I choose to look at it as a learning lesson, a growing lesson, and I hope everyone gets along well,” he concluded.
