It seemed that Marseille opened the Velodrome Stadium with a 1-1 draw with Atalanta at the hands of the Italian team. Gianluca Scamacca scored the equalizer in the 11th minute, then Chancel Mbemba equalized in the 20th minute, giving the home team the second match.
While Leverkusen beat Roma at the Stadio Olimpico 2-0, goals from Florian Wirtz in the 28th minute and Chance Mbemba in the 20th minute set a record for the total defeat in 47 matches against any team in all competitions. Ready to seize the advantage first.
