In the 6th minute, the ball reached Alejandro Carnacho from Andre Onana's long opening move, but the Argentine star flicked the ball and unfortunately missed the target.
In the 19th minute, Manchester United should have scored again with over 70% possession. It was a moment when Casemiro set up for Marcus Rashford, who was caught offside but his shot came off the post.
Manchester United took a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute when Diogo Dalot scored with a simple left to center Scott McTominay from the right.
Just over half an hour into the game, Coventry were able to make their chances count with Ellis Sims and Haji Wright still unable to break through the Manchester United defence.
Coventry had their closest chance to score in the 40th minute when Josh Eccles headed in from the left, but Ellis Sims couldn't get to the task.
In the 45th minute, Manchester United were 2–0 up when Bradley Collins headed in Marcus Rashford's shot and the ball hit Harry Maguire's head.

Manchester United took a 3-0 lead in the 58th minute when Bruno Fernandes' shot was deflected by Joel Ladipadier.
In the 71st minute, Fabio Tavares, who came in down the right for Ellis Sims, flicked the ball in with his shin for a half-century and the ball hit the Coventry post to make it 1-3.
In the 79th minute, Coventry made it 2-3 through Callum O'Hare, whose shot deflected off Aaron Van-Bissaka and the ball slipped under the crossbar.
Coventry were yet to equalize in the 85th minute when substitute Victor Thorpe struck a shot with his right hand, but Andre Onana managed to keep it out.
During 6 minutes of injury time, Coventry were awarded a penalty in the 90+5th minute after the ball hit Aaron van-Bissaka on the arm, extending extra time to another 30 minutes.
Bruno Fernandes scored from his right in the 94th minute of extra time. But the ball hit the crossbar and Manchester United were yet to score a 4th goal.
In the 105th minute, substitute Omari Forson had a shot to his right, but Bradley Collins parried it, and the first half of extra time was tied at 3-3.
In the 112th minute, a Coventry counter-attack saw Haughey slip into the right box. But the ball fell to the second post to shoot to the left.
In the 116th minute, Ellis Sims hit a shot at the far post, but Coventry were yet to score.
In the 120+1 minute of injury time, Coventry substitute Victor Thorpe came up to shoot, but it was ruled out by VAR due to Haji Wright, so that at the end of 120 minutes, Manchester United were still tied 3–3 and had to go to a penalty shootout to decide the winner.
In the penalty shootout, Manchester United won 4–2, Casemiro missed a penalty for Manchester United.
With the win, Manchester United reached the FA Cup final for the 22nd time in the club's history. They last reached the final two years in a row in 2004 and 2005, and they will enter a rematch with fellow city team Manchester City to compete for a 13th championship.
