BEIJING, April 2, 2019 (Xinhua) The Palace Museum in Beijing, China was opened on Monday (April 1). Opening of the exhibition on Exchanges between China and France in the 17th and 18th centuries, organized by the Chinese Palace Museum and the French Palace of Versailles Museum.
The report said that the exhibition was organized under this theme. “The Forbidden City and the Palace of Versailles” is the main project of the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism 2024 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France.
The exhibition, which includes nearly 200 objects from the collections of the two museums and other institutions, showcases the political and cultural relations between China and France during that era. The public can view this exhibition until June 30.
The Chinese Palace Museum also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the French Palace of Versailles Museum. As well as the Guimé National Museum of Asian Art in Paris. During the opening ceremony of this exhibition as well
