Scary places like an entrance turnstile that has to bend itself, restrooms that can’t turn, safety belts that are too short or jump seats. . Furniture, transportation, cultural spaces are not designed for overweight people. Their bodies are constantly “overflowing”. What if the way public space is organized reflects a hatred of fat people?
Fat Friendly condemns this. “The bigger we get, the more our universe shrinks,” says the France and Belgium-based association.
