Neil Druckman was available to share a slew of news about The Last of Us, including our first look at the two leads on the upcoming HBO version of The Last of Us.
At Summer Game Fest, Naughty Dog co-chair Neil Druckman provided an update for the HBO series The Last of Us, which he is co-developer. Druckmann directed an episode for HBO and provided the first look at Pedro Pascal’s Joel and Bella Ramsey Ellie, this time in their faces. Scene from the episode directed by Druckmann.
Druckmann also brought to the stage Joel’s voice actor Troy Baker and Elle’s voice actor Ashley Johnson who will have roles in the upcoming HBO series, but not like Joel or Ellie. Druckmann promises that these roles aren’t token winks, but something intrinsic.
The Last of Us director also promised that the HBO series will be the most faithful video game adaptation yet, which may be more than a promise given his involvement in both the game and the show.
Alongside the update on the HBO series, Druckmann has shared the first look at the new “massive” multiplayer mode and the full reveal of the remake of Part One of The Last of Us.
