Former Georgian PM announces £8.4m injection into squad after Portugal win, ready to pump more if they beat Spain in Euro 2024 last 16

The 68-year-old billionaire former prime minister recently announced he would give an extra £8.4m to the squad and coaching staff if they beat Spain in the last 16 of Euro 2024.
Ivanishvili was born in Georgia and built his fortune in Russia in the 1990s through investments in banks, computers and metals. Forbes magazine estimated his fortune at about 3.87 billion pounds, and he said the donation would come from a charitable foundation affiliated with Ivanishvili.
