Fujifilm launches the “INSTAX mini 99” and launches the “PHOTO SLIDE” film.

Fujifilm (Thailand) launches its latest camera, INSTAX mini 99 (mini 99 TM), a cutting-edge instant analogue camera range. It will be released in Thailand on April 4, 2024.

The mini 99™ is an upgraded version of the INSTAX mini 90TM (mini 90TM), which has gained worldwide recognition. There are new features that use analogue technology to enhance the photography experience and create more images, such as “Color Effect Control” with 6 colors to choose from to display images, and “Zoom Out Mode” that reduces exposure at the edges of the image and makes the center of the image stand out. These features help users create unique images with every shot.

The camera body has a matte, leather-like surface. It makes it comfortable to hold and feels beautiful and luxurious to the touch.

The company also launched the “PHOTO SLIDE” mini-film inspired by the roll film. It will be released in Thailand to welcome summer. Emphasizing the creativity of taking photos in several formats with the mini 99 camera.

In addition, new features from the Mini 99, such as color effect control and highlight mode, can be combined with lighting controls. It can be operated by rotating the dial on the side of the camera to create a variety of movie images. This latest camera continues features from the mini 90TM model, such as landscape mode, macro mode and indoor mode. This helps to obtain more high-quality images. It has a sports mode*2 that is ideal for shooting fast-moving subjects. There is also a timer for taking group photos. You can also play with light using Bulb mode and Double exposure mode.

For universal use of INSTAX, including the mini 99 TM model, Fujifilm has updated the INSTAX UP! app. New format on March 13, smartphone app*3 where users can scan printed INSTAX images and save them on their smartphones for easy digital file storage. What has been updated is the storage of photos in albums. Users can create INSTAX photo collections based on the desired theme. It's another way to enjoy INSTAX.

(1) Analog style implementation with classic appearance and elegant feel.

The Mini 99TM is designed to retain the feel of analog functions, such as using the lens ring to adjust zoom and focus distance. And use the side ring to change the light and brightness. The camera body features a matte, leather-like surface for a comfortable grip. Features a hammered finish and colored text to offer a classic exterior and premium finish.

The camera comes with a built-in LED light, with different colors on the color effect ring that directly illuminate the film when the photo is taken. • The Mini 99 has a landscape mode and a macro mode for sharp images based on the object's distance. Indoor shooting mode helps increase light for shooting in dark places. And sports mode for shooting fast-moving objects.

• There is a self-timer which is a convenient tool for taking photos of an event or group. Flash settings can be adjusted to disable flash, red-eye correction, and more depending on the shooting location.
• There's also a double exposure mode for combining two images by pressing the shutter twice to take a single movie image, and a bulb mode for creating images by playing with light by keeping the shutter open for an extended period of time.

(6) Other features

• The mini 99 TM uses a removable and rechargeable battery. 100 photos can be taken per charge. Use a USB Type C charging cable (comes with the charging cable).
• The camera comes with a bottom bracket and tripod socket. Using the handle makes it easier to hold the camera and take selfies.

INSTAX UP! New formula

• INSTAX UP! It will be updated to a new format on March 13, which allows users to easily convert their INSTAX film into digital files by scanning their images and storing them with the film frame on the device. You can go back and look at your favorite INSTAX movie photos on your smartphone at any time. You can also easily post the collections created in the app to social media to instantly share with friends, it's another way to enjoy INSTAX film photos.
• The newer format adds album functionality, where users can group photo collections together by theme. You can set custom backgrounds for each group in two view modes (box view and list view) to create unique albums.
