Go Sports Association of Thailand in cooperation with Charoen Pokphand Foods Co., Ltd. opened. (CPF) and Perfect Companion Group Co., Ltd. (PCG) Go, Lui Tai Battle 2023 competition, to exchange skills and experiences. Bonding with two Go players at Thara Building on October 27, 2023.
Mr. Wichian Jungvirot, President of the Go Sports Association of Thailand, said that the Go Sports 2023 competition has been held continuously since 2021 in cooperation with Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF) and Perfect Companion Group Limited (PCG) in order to bridge the relationship between the two companies, This year, the two companies trained the company’s employees and they were selected to be representative athletes to participate in the team competitions, 8-17 people per group, divided into 12 groups, with each round including 1-3 athletes and competing in each group according to the list of names specified from the beginning. If the winning side continues to compete, the losing side will send a new group of athletes to compete in the next round. There will be a maximum of 23 rounds in total, if any team in the athlete pool loses until the roster is exhausted before then, that team will be the loser. The winning team will receive a trophy and a cash prize. Therefore, it is the origin of the name of the Go competition. Which will be held between October 27 – December 1, 2023
By competing in the Plow Battle show this time. The association hopes that Go will be a part of building skills, practicing concentration, creating pride in representing the organization in competitions, and also providing the opportunity to build good relationships with Go players in the country, which will create further skill development. “In the future,” Mr. Wichian concluded.
Miss Pimonrat Rebatana Wichitkul Chief Executive Officer Human Resources CP-CPF Group said that CPF attaches importance to employee development. So clubs were created in the CPF, and there are currently 19 clubs, of which the Go Club is one of the 19 clubs in the CPF Go Club. It is opened to new members and seeks to develop Go skills by organizing teaching at basic and higher levels. Staff and their families select talented staff and children representing athletes competing at the organizational and national levels.
CPF has participated in the Go Battle of the Plow competition for the third year. This year, 15 club members were selected to participate in the competition, 13 of whom are company employees and 2 are family members of employees. Currently in 2023, CP Go Club F includes 300 club members. 50 people participated in the training.
Go is a sport that develops players’ intelligence and emotions. Enhancing strategic analytical thinking and deep thinking in decision making. These skills can be applied to the work of employees. With the aim that this competition will enhance the popularity of the sport of Go and will be able to expand its influence to other divisions of the Charoen Pokphand Group. “At the national level,” Ms. Pimonrat said.
Mr. Somkiat Dankul, Senior Deputy General Manager of Sales Department at Perfect Companion Group Company Limited, said that this year the company will promote the activities by setting up a Go Club within PCG for interested employees. Participate in the competition and ready to practice skills for plowing battle competition this time

The Go Competition “The Battle of the Plows” is organized by the Go Sports Association of Thailand in cooperation with Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF) and Perfect Companion Group Limited (PCG). The world’s first Go competition was the Japan-China Super Go organized by NEC in 1984-1996 between professional Go players from Japan and China. This is the program that created huge fame for Chinese Go players like Nie Weiping and is the program that caused the Chinese Go industry to grow by leaps and bounds. Nowadays, there are still many professional plowing competitions, such as the Nongshim Cup, in which South Korea, China and Japan have participated since 2000.
