How to restart Android phone without power button
Android devices have several different ways to restart the phone without a functional physical power button. We’ll start from the easiest and work our way down.
Quick Settings
By far the easiest way to restart an Android device without the power button is Quick settings panel. This menu contains toggles for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane mode, and many other customizable tiles.
Just scroll down once or twice – depending on your device – and tap the power icon.
Select “Restart” from the menu.

plug it in
The next method is to hit or miss a little more. Some devices will start up if you connect them to power. This doesn’t always work, but there are some devices that will eventually turn on if you leave them plugged in.
If the device is already on and you just want to wake up the screen, this method should work as well. Almost all Android devices will wake up the screen when connected to power. From there, you can use the quick settings method above to reboot.
ADB
The most used way to restart the phone without the power button is ADB — Android Debug Bridge. This will only work if the device is already turned on.
The first thing to do is to follow our guide for Install and setup ADB on your computer. After this is done, we can enter a command to restart your phone or tablet.
In the Command Prompt window, run the following command: adb reboot
The device will turn off and on again. You are all set!

How to restart iPhone without power button
There are two main ways to restart the iPhone, depending on whether it is on or off.

First, open Settings on your iPhone.
Next, go to the “Accessibility” settings and select “Touch”.
Go to Assistive Touch and toggle it on at the top of the screen.
You will notice that a floating button appears on the screen. We can now decide how you want the restart shortcut to work. You can add it to the shortcut menu by selecting “Customize Top Level Menu”.
Select one of the shortcuts and replace it with “reboot”.
If you want easier access to the restart shortcut, you can choose it as the option of single press, double press, or long press of the floating button.
To use it, simply click on the floating button and select Restart, or use the other custom action you created.
iPhone will turn off and restart!

plug it in
You are out of luck if your iPhone is already turned off. iPhones will automatically start when they’re plugged in — once there’s enough power.
So all you have to do is plug it in or put it on a wireless charger and just Wait for the iPhone to turn on. It’s that easy.
