The Lenovo Legion GO is a high-end gaming laptop. It features a 144Hz QHD display and comes with features similar to the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-con where players can pop out the joystick separately to play. This sets it apart from other gaming laptops, but it also makes the Legion GO more affordable than competitors like the Asus ROG Ally Z1 or Steam Deck.
So, Lenovo might find a new, cheaper model. Because earlier this year, there was news from Windows Central that Lenovo was working on a Legion Go “Lite” that would remove many features like the joystick that can no longer be detached. It might use an AMD Ryzen Z1 chip with lower performance than the flagship model.
This format is similar to Nintendo making the Switch Lite, a budget version that strips out features and sells it at a lower price. Although there’s no official confirmation. But a Reddit user found a post on the Lenovo Legion GO website that updated the FAQ. One question asked: “What is the screen size of the Legion GO?”
The Legion GO is known to have an 8.8-inch display, but in the update section of the FAQ, it was mentioned that the Lenovo Legion Go's display size will vary depending on the model. It comes with a 7-8-inch display that provides a portable gaming experience. It also comes with multimedia applications.
This could mean that a Lite version of the Lenovo Legion Go with a smaller screen is already here, according to updated information on the site. It could remove the joystick trick to cut costs. And sell for a cheaper price as well. If it does come out, it would be a good option for gamers who just want to play in portable mode and don't care about the joystick-removal-and-play tricks.
