The Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza said Israel was detaining dozens of patients and hospital workers at the hospital. As stated by the Hamas government's media spokesman, the Israeli army killed five Palestinian doctors.

Reuters asked the Israeli army about the news report. However, no response had been received as of the publication of this news on Monday (March 25), but the Israeli army had previously revealed this and its forces killed more than 170 Hamas militants in the attack. The Palestinian Ministry of Health claims there were 5 Ploy Fa Ploy Fon patients also killed in the crossfire.

Al-Shifa Hospital is one of the few medical facilities in the northern Gaza Strip that remains partially open. But Reuters was unable to reach hospitals that have become areas of confrontation between Israel and Hamas to verify the claims of both sides.

Gaza health officials also revealed this in Rafah, a city located at the southern end of the Gaza Strip and next to the border with Egypt. It was reported that seven people were killed in a house targeted by Israeli air strikes.

The Gaza Ministry of Health said in an update on Sunday that at least 32,226 Palestinians have been killed since Israel launched its air and ground attack on the Gaza Strip on October 7 last year, with 84 people killed in the past 24 hours. While the cumulative number of infected people reached 74,518 people.

Israel claims the attack was in response to Hamas' surprise attack on Israel, which left 1,200 dead and 253 hostages on October 7, 2023.

Mr. Philippe Lazzarini, High Commissioner of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency Israeli Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) have informed the United Nations that they will no longer allow UNRWA food trucks to enter the northern Gaza Strip. Such actions on the part of Israel are considered unacceptable. It is a show of intent to prevent aid from being delivered to people facing man-made famine.

Lazzarini also called on Israel to lift the embargo, stressing that preventing UNRWA from its operations would only put the Gaza Strip on the brink of famine. Many people will die from hunger, dehydration and lack of shelter.
