It was revealed that the Thai stock market rebounded in the morning and fluctuated in the range, supported by strong buybacks of shares in the BTS and JMART groups, and factors from US where job openings numbers slowed, increasing the chance of the Fed cutting interest rates in September and supporting Asian stock market sentiment. The afternoon trend is expected to continue to hover in positive territory, with resistance at 1,350 points and support at 1,335 points.

In morning trading, the index fluctuated in positive territory. The highest level was 1344.39 points and the lowest level was 1337.47 points.

Mr. Shivon Nomvitakcharoen, General Manager, Securities Trading Department, Bualuang Securities, said that in the morning the Thai stock market rebounded and fluctuated within a range. This is partly due to share buybacks in BTS and JMART Group, as well as support from US job opening numbers reported last night which have slowed. This makes the chance of the Fed cutting interest rates in September elevated to 65% from the previous 50%, helping to support sentiment in Asian stock markets throughout the morning.

As for local factors, there are no new issues that would significantly impact the Thai stock market.

Afternoon trend: The market is expected to continue to fluctuate in the positive territory. But it is expected to fluctuate within a narrow range. The resistance level is 1,350 points and the support level is 1,335 points.

BTS's trading value reached 2,188.25 million baht, closing at 5.00 baht, an increase of 0.40 baht.

AOT's turnover reached 557.90 million baht, closing at 63.75 baht, down 0.25 baht.

KTB's trading value reached 532.42 million baht, closing at 17.10 baht, unchanged.

Trading value reached 421.41 million baht, closing at 30.75 baht, an increase of 0.25 baht.

JMT's trading value reached 418.83 million baht, closing at 15.20 baht, an increase of 1.10 baht.
