McIntosh is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, the American audio brand has unveiled a power amplifier that it claims is one of the most powerful speakers available today.
The new monoblock power amplifier, the MC2.1KW, comes with a triple-mounted structure. Priced at up to $50,000 or approximately 1,800,000 baht with a power output of up to 2,000 watts, McIntosh intends to achieve “a new standard for premium speakers.”
The McIntosh power amplifier is a three-rack design: the audio circuitry is separated between two cases. While the third square (which contains the blue scale) contains a single-ended RCA signal input and balanced XLR inputs, as well as speaker output terminals.
The multi-speaker output connector is not intended for three-wire use. Instead, they are separated into 2 ohm, 4 ohm, and 8 ohm impedances so that speakers can be connected to the impedance value that most closely matches the amplifier.
Designed as a successor to the 2005 MC2KW monoblock amplifier, this powerful new monoblock amplifier delivers a real upgrade in sound.

Further improved circuit design allows for modern upgraded components and a shorter signal path with better sound quality. The power and signal cables for the MC2.1KW have also been improved.
The McIntosh MC2.1KW uses a stainless steel body with a mirror-like surface. Paired with an eye-catching metal frame, it is considered a “visual masterpiece” with a black glass front panel. While the MC2.1KW celebrates McIntosh's 75th anniversary in business, the first 75 units will be available in 2024 in each country. There will also be a special anniversary logo engraved with “75 Years” on the front handle. There is a special logo stamped on the top of the device.
