Paramount + Comic-Con 2023 Star Trek Panel to Focus on ‘Discovery’, ‘Lower Decks’ and ‘Strange New Worlds’ – TrekMovie.com

San Diego Comic-Con 2023 kicks off in less than two weeks and there will be some highlights of interest to Star Trek fans, including a Star Trek Universe panel on Saturday. We’ve got details on that as well as an official panel on Star Trek animation and more official Star Trek animations at and around the convention.

Star Trek Universe panel on Saturday

The full Saturday schedule for SDCC 2023 was released today and includes a panel that will be held on Saturday, July 22 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM in Hall H. Here is the official description.

The fan-favorite Star Trek universe panel returns to Comic-Con, showcasing exclusive content from Star Trek: DiscoveryAnd Star Trek: Below DecksAnd Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

No details yet on who Paramount will be bringing to San Diego, but it should be a mix of the actors and creators from all three shows. “Exclusive Content” is likely to be revealing key art and/or trailers. Paramount + revealed A Discovery The fifth season trailer at NYCC last fall. No photos or videos have been released for the fourth season of the show lower floorswhich will arrive later this summer. As for Strange new worldsWith a possible WGA (and SAG) strike hampering production on Season 3, there may not be much to reveal about the series’ next move, but the event takes place the weekend before Episode 7 of Season 2, and is lower floors crossover (first unveiled at SDCC 2022), so it’s possible there could be more to go. The brief description in the table does not mention what was previously announced Starfleet Academy series or Section 31 Streaming movie but these panels often include surprise ads and announcements.

Animation Celebration panel on Friday

There is another official board of interest to Trek fans. 2023 is the fiftieth anniversary of Star Trek: The Animated Series And it looks like Paramount is gearing up to celebrate the show’s anniversary and more of the animated Star Trek. The official conference schedule includes a panel titled “The 50th Official Celebration of Star Trek Animation” on Friday, July 21 (10 a.m. Room 25ABC). Here is the description:

The Star Trek brand team has given its first look at Star Trek: The Animated Celebration, a campaign that celebrates all animations across the franchise. Explore the latest in publishing, gaming and more with one-of-a-kind giveaways, exclusive sneak peeks and special panelists.

Strange new worlds booth

Paramount + has stocked space on the show floor with booth #3529 which appears to be entirely dedicated to it Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. They haven’t released details of plans for their booths, but it’s likely to be some kind of interactive experience that can be shared on social media.

Energize Lounge

In addition to their main booth (#1943), costumed Star Trek licensees Hero Inside host a special off-duty activity. Billed as an “intimate Star Trek-themed experience” that will give fans “the chance to relax, recharge and connect with fellow Trekkies” over Trek-themed coffee drinks. The lounge will feature the Hero Within Star Trek Collection display along with additional Star Trek promotions from IDW Publishing, RockLove Jewelry and Star Trek Cruise. The Energize Lounge is located at 332 J Street in the Gaslamp just one block from the Convention Center and is open Thursday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Strange new worlds At Fandom Party

Paramount+ partners with Fandom for the 6th Annual Fandom Gala. The party includes “Fan Central” with interactive photo booths, exclusive game activations, giveaways and an AR experience. It will be one of the fan activations at the party for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
