Before the bundle was introduced, Paramount+ was priced at $4.99 per month with ads, or $9.99 without ads. (Live shows, especially sports, are not part of the no-ads promise.)
The Paramount Collection comes as Warner Bros Discovery works to combine HBO Max and Discovery+ into one app. Disney’s three-part package from Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu has been a huge hit since its launch in 2020. For now, each service within them remains separate, although it is widely expected that Hulu will move to Disney+ as soon as the Disney gets full control of Hulu in 2024.
Paramount Global said Paramount+ added 4.9 million subscribers in the second quarter ended June 30, reaching 43.3 million, the largest portion of the company’s total subscriber base of nearly 64 million.
