The RATP machinist could do nothing. When he arrived at the Cité universitaire station yesterday evening at 5pm, the Paris transport worker traveling on the RER B line was powerless in the face of the horrifying scene. His convoy hit a 14-year-old girl who fell from the platform for an undetermined reason. It has been revealed that Parisian, the victim was waiting for the metro alone and was facing Charles de Gaulle on the train platform. She would have tried to go up. The unfortunate man was hit by a train in no time. Despite the quick intervention of the emergency services, the young man did not survive these serious injuries.
She lived in the neighborhood
“The CCTV images do not allow us to understand how she became unbalanced. She may have been distracted by looking at her phone,” a source close to the investigation tells our colleague Julien Constant. The same source added: “It’s a young woman who lived in the neighborhood and it’s a really scary story.” RATP made the announcement this Sunday through a press release. He expressed his deep emotion: “A victim support unit was immediately mobilized and the management offers its condolences to the family”. As for the driver: “He was shocked and was taken care of by his management and firefighters”.
