Rhino Racing, a Lithuanian special edition car company, has launched the RR01 super sports car, a “sporty multi-purpose racing car that can be legally raced on the road!” Using a basic chassis based on the Porsche Carrera GT and 918 Spyder, with a body-frame version and a central engine, the RR01 is a hardtop coupé with gull doors that looks like a Porsche prototype.
The Rhino Racing website states that the entry-level RR01 model (not including engine and transmission price) is priced at €25,000 ($26,906 / £21,444), or 918,000 baht in Thai currency excluding import taxes, and the aluminum monocoque is the same as the roll cage. Which protects the cabin in the event of an accident. The RR01 includes a fiberglass body. Fully adjustable double wishbone suspension with adjustable response and sports steering wheel with 4.3-inch display
Exotic car connoisseurs looking for a sports car from a startup also have the top model RR01 “Option 2.” At €27,500 (US$29,595/£23,590) or around 1,009,000 baht, it's a stripped-down car. It doesn't have a motor yet!! The RR01 “Option 2” is a car focused on track use. It has a racing-style polycarbonate plastic windshield to reduce weight, 19-inch wheels wrapped in Toyo sport tires, and AP Racing brakes with six-piston calipers up front and single-pot, single-piston calipers at the rear.
If you want to use the engine and transmission, the 5.2-litre V10 imported from the Audi R8 is priced at €37,500 ($40,365/£32,160), and Rhino engineers say the engine will be built from the ground up with an 8-speed gearbox. And an electronic control unit, motorsport style. The RR01 limited-slip differential drives the rear wheels with 480 PS (358 kW / 487 hp).
The Rhino Racing kit is designed for buyers to assemble in their own garage. Assembling it does not require a lot of technical knowledge. All components will be ready to ship in August or September.
