Public Health Minister (Ministry of Public Health) Dr. Sonnan Shrikev said after following up on the safe tourism policy in Koh Lipe, Chatun province on March 9. New building ready to open Ban Ko Lipe Sub-District Health Development Hospital said the government has given priority to driving the national economy. Koh Lipe is considered an area with high tourism potential, said Dr Sonnen. Approximately 500,000 – 1,000,000 tourists visit each year. There are approximately 3,000 entrepreneurs and employees. There are medical facilities to support the health care of citizens and tourists, including 2 private clinics and 1 government primary care unit. Hospital, Ko Lip House In the past, about 10,000 patients received services annually, hence the building. The new Pan Ko Lip health promotion clinic replaces the old one. 80.7 million baht is used by the central budget according to the plan to improve the health service system and environmental health in Koh Lipe. Dr. Sonnen said Ban Ko Lipe sub-district health promotion hospital is also an advanced medical training unit.
