How do seeders and pots work?
Qatar, as the host nation, will occupy the A1 position from Pot 1.
As for the other 28 teams already eligible, pots have been assigned based on the FIFA rankings released on Thursday.
In the first pot, Qatar will join the seven highest-ranked teams.
Pot 2 will be allocated to teams seeded 8 to 15, 16 to 23 will be in Pot 3 while Pot 4 will include the qualified teams in 24 to 28 as well as the placeholders for the remaining three places – two winners of the Intercontinental Qualifiers and the remaining winner of the UEFA Qualifiers .

What is the withdrawal procedure?
In each team pot, there are eight balls bearing the country names for each qualifying team plus three placeholders.
There are also eight vessels representing the groups and are numbered from A to E. In each group bowl, there are four number one through four balls that represent the center in each group.
A ball is drawn from the team bowl and then from one of the groups of the group to determine the position of the team in that group.
Who are the noticeable omissions?
Italy, the current European champion, missed the World Cup finals for the second time in a row.
Russia will also not be part of the draw after the team was disqualified from the playoffs due to the invasion of Ukraine.
Also absent will be Egypt, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria and Algeria, which all fell in different hurdles in the qualifiers.
