Apple's 2024 Pride Collection :br(s): Spotlight:br(xl)::br(l)::br(m): LGBTQ+ community
To support global social movements that protect and promote equality for the LGBTQ+ community, Apple today introduced a new Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop band for Apple Watch, available to order starting May 22, with matching watch faces and animated wallpapers for iOS and iPadOS that come with software updates. Coming. For the first time, Pride watch faces and backgrounds can be customized to display a range of colors to represent the vibrancy and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community.
The Pride Collection is a showcase of Apple's pride in supporting LGBTQ+ organizations that help create positive change. This includes global associations such as ILGA World, committed to promoting the rights of LGBTQ+ people around the world, and the Human Rights Campaign, a global agency working to help LGBTQ+ people be treated as equal citizens. There are also other organizations. Apple's support list includes Encircle, Equality North Carolina, Equality Texas, GLSEN, Equality Consortium, National Center for Transgender Equality, PFLAG, SMYAL, and The Trevor Project.
The new Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop watch showcases the strength and beauty of the LGBTQ+ community with a bright flare design inspired by the Pride flag, and “PRIDE 2024” laser engraved on the legs of the watch in black and brown to symbolize Black and Hispanic Latinos, as well as those who areimpactof HIV/AIDS, while pink, light blue and white are used to represent trans and non-binary people.
New Pride Light dial and iOS and iPadOS wallpapers bring bright, expressive colors to Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPad, bringing hope, strength, and connection to the LGBTQ+ community through streaks of light that shine against dark, layered wallpapers. To express the impact that the LGBTQ+ movement has made forever. And its role in paving the way towards greater equality for the next generation.
Users can choose from a range of colors to customize watch faces and backgrounds, with colors on Apple Watch changing based on the numbers on the watch face. It responds in real time when the user moves their wrist. It relies on receiving information from the gyroscope, while the iPhone and iPad have a colored line that shows the word “Pride” and moves when the user opens the device. New Pride Light dial and iPhone and iPad wallpapers will be coming soon to watchOS 10.5, iOS 17.5, and iPadOS 17.5.
Price and availability
- The Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop Cable will be available to order at apple.com Apple Store apps starting May 22 will be available in Apple Stores in the US and Canada on May 22, and in other countries they will be available for purchase on May 23 at 3800 baht
- The Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop bands are available in 41mm and 45mm sizes, and are compatible with Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 4 or later.
