It’s time to start wondering What the Google Pixel Fold might be when it’s Google Recently announce it. now, samsung Google’s biggest hardware competitor in the Android space, the South Korean company is also the far and away leader in the foldable device category. So it’s no surprise that the rumor mill has decided that the next Pixel phone could be a book-style foldable with a bigger battery and wider structure from Samsung Z fold 4.
The latest grumble comes from 9to5Google, which learned that the Pixel Fold is heavier due to the larger battery pack it’s divided into. It would be close to 5,000 mAh, larger than Samsung’s 4,400 mAh. And if you’re comparing it to foldable devices out there, it’s bigger than the Oppo Find N2, the phone’s sister phone Look out for the N2 Flip I saw it last week.
IIt would be nice to have a foldable device with a longer battery life in the pipeline. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 has some of the lowest numbers in our benchmark charts because the device is technically a 2-in-1; wchicken using the Z Fold, a 7.6-inch tablet powered by a smartphone-sized battery. For comparison purposes, a mid-range Samsung Android tablet of similar size has at least a 5,100mAh battery.
The Pixel Fold may be slightly heavier than the Z Fold 4, which can be pleasing for its longevity of use. The Z Fold 4 is a fun experience now that it’s not too big to hold — you can technically hold it in bed like you’re reading a book or an e-reader, though it still hurts when it falls on your face. There are no specific numbers displayed on the weight yet. Most of this speculation comes from the device having a larger battery.
9to5Google also shares an interesting plot in its rumor write-up. Pixel Fold dimensions were leaked in December OnLeaks, which has a good track record for these small parts. According to the normal model, the Pixel Fold will be a wider device than the relatively narrow Z Fold 4. And while this is still uncertain, it’s interesting to think about because as foldable devices become more popular in the market, users will choose a device based on whether they prefer a wider body over a narrower one. It’s not that different from the smartphone size wars we’re having right now. Honestly, I like Samsung’s foldable wider so it’s easier to handle when closed into phone form.
