There is no indication that Apple will launch new devices at the upcoming WWDC 2024 developer conference on June 10. But going back to the same event 14 years ago, Apple chose to launch a new iPhone in the business.
First introduced at WWDC 2010 on June 7, the iPhone 4 was an iPhone with a major design change. Since the first version, glass panels have been used at the front and back. Attach the edges to an aluminum frame. It's called sandwich design. It was used as a template for many smartphones after that.
The iPhone 4 was the first iPhone to feature a front-facing camera for face-to-face calls via FaceTime, setting a standard for video calling on its own. At the same time, the camera has been greatly improved. With a 5MP sensor, it can record 720p video at 30fps. This is the same era as 1080p HD TVs arrived and they also have a Retina display with a resolution of 640 x 960 pixels and a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch.
The iPhone 4 was on the market from 2010 to the end of 2014 before Apple listed it as a legacy product in October 2016. It was updated to iOS 7 and the last version before it was discontinued was iOS 7.1 which was released in late 2014.
