The Ministry of Finance opens the sale of savings bonds with an interest rate of up to 3.40% per annum through Paotang-dealer Bank from March 6 to 19.

Phachara Anantasin, Director of the Public Debt Management Office, announced today (February 22) that the Public Debt Management Office will open the first sale of savings bonds from the Ministry of Finance in the fiscal year 2024, for a total amount of 40 thousand million. Baht divided into

  1. Sale to the public, a maximum of 35,000 million baht through two channels, including SBM (Wealth Bond Collection) wallet on the Paotang app, a maximum of 10,000 million baht, and various channels. From the merchant bank up to a maximum of 25,000 million baht
  2. Sales to non-profit legal entities as defined by the Ministry of Finance, up to a maximum of 5,000 million baht.

  1. Savings bonds are sold through commercial banks, including Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, Kasikorn Bank Public Company Limited, and Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited.

The savings bonds will be sold to the public in the first phase (March 11-13, 2024) using the first small bond allocation method (gradually allocate bonds in rounds. Circulate until all buyers are complete) by multiplying 1,000 baht per round, which is the order of booking first and last. Does not affect customization.

If the amount of the bond that will be allocated in the final round is insufficient to allocate it to all buyers, the computer system will allocate the bonds in the final round in a random (random) manner until the distribution amount is reached.

Subscribers will know the results of the bond allocation and will receive their money back.
