Results of the English Premier League match between Wolverhampton and Chelsea at Molineux Stadium on Sunday evening, August 25, 2024.
The match opened in the first half with both teams fighting for fun, Chelsea took the lead 1-0 with a header from Nicolas Jackson, but the home side equalised through Matheus Cunha in the 27th minute.
At the end of the first half, the two teams added another goal in the 45th minute, when Cole Palmer sneaked in and sent the ball into the bottom of the goal, but Wolverhampton and an impromptu equalizer from Jorgen Strand Larsen tied the score at half-time 2-2.
Returning to the second half, the Singh Blues opened their attacking game completely and scored 3 consecutive goals, leading 5-2 through Noni Madueke, the only one who scored in the 49th and 58th minutes. The 63rd minute was the player's first hat-trick in a Chelsea shirt.
It wasn't enough, as in the 81st minute, Pedro Neto took a shot from the left before firing it into the middle, causing Joao Felix to run in and slot it home beautifully, leaving Chelsea 6-2 behind.
At the end of the match, Chelsea defeated Wolverhampton 6-2, successfully collecting the first three points of the new season.
