Opening ceremony of the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, France. The host nation staged a massive event with 169 nations competing for gold medals.
The auspicious time has officially opened the 17th Paralympic Games in Paris, France. A total of 169 countries will compete for 549 gold medals in 22 sports from August 28 to September 8, 2024, with a total of 79 Thai athletes from 15 sports.
For this opening ceremony, Thailand has chosen “Wayo” Saisonee Jana, a wheelchair fencer, and “Phio” Athiwat Paingnuwa, a wheelchair racer. Responsible for carrying the tricolour flag, they will lead the Thai athletes with disabilities in the opening ceremony. The opening flame will continue to be lit by a balloon in the Jardin des Tuileries, as will the 2024 Olympic Games.
France used the concept of the opening ceremony this time. It expresses the happiness of all Paralympic athletes to share this world with their families. To be able to practice the sport they love and the life of people with disabilities is not only sad. Or does it just require compassion? But I want everyone in the world to treat them like normal people. Where every athlete enters the stadium with a smile and good energy ready to send it to everyone
